It is September and as we enter the fall holiday season, that always brings a chill in the air, a great hot beverage to serve guests after dinner as a substitute for dessert or just to have fun is a Spiked Caramel Hot Chocolate.  This is a fantastic way to end the night since it is not caffeinated like a coffee drink or an espresso Martini. The key to this drink is the “on the stove” classic hot chocolate recipe.  Creamy, rich and delicious this is the perfect holiday drink whether for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas.  Top with whipped cream and you can add shaved or grated chocolate, or be fun for the holiday’s and sprinkle some silver or gold shimmer sugar.  However you serve, it is a crowd pleaser and a tasty way to end the night.  Enjoy!!!!!!
