A fun drink for August, especially for tennis fans watching the U.S. Open Tennis tournament, is the Honey Deuce.  The official drink of the tournament and a quick and easy refreshing drink for the summer.  A riff on a raspberry lemonade this drink is fast and easy to make and really does hit the spot during a hot summer day.  With three simple ingredients of Grey Goose Vodka, Chambord and lemonade and the iconic garnish of three honeydew melon balls (resembling tennis balls), this cocktail is a fun way to watch the US Open and feel like you’re part of the crowd or just to enjoy with friends.  An eye-popping stat is in 2024 over 450,000 of these drinks were ordered and served at the US open at $23 bucks a pop, garnering sales of over $10 million dollars. Ingredients:

  • Grey Goose Vodka (or your favorite)
  • Chambord
  • Lemonade
  • Honeydew Melon (melon ball garnish)

Honey Deuce Cocktail

  1. Place ice cubes in your double rocks glass
  2. Then add the following to a cocktail shaker full of ice:
    • 1 ¼  oz Grey Goose Vodka (or Vodka of your choice)
    • ½ oz Chambord
    • 3 oz of Lemonade
  3. Once all ingredients added shack for 10 seconds
  4. Strain into double rocks glass over ice
  5. Garnish with three melon balls on cocktail pick
