As we approach the end of May, and look forward to summer starting in June, I wanted to choose a refreshing drink to be enjoyed on a hot day but also be quick and easy to make. I choose a forgotten classic that I truly don’t see many, if any, people order, but it became a legend in the early 70’s due to the Rolling Stones and the Eagles. The classic I refer to is the Tequila Sunrise, a three-ingredient drink that came to fame in 1972 when the Rolling Stones ordered it at many of their tour stops and also then in 1973 when the Eagles released the song, Tequila Sunrise. From that point on the Tequila Sunrise became a part of cocktail history. The good news is that this forgotten classic still is fabulous to drink, refreshing, easy to make and it does not hurt that it has a cool story behind it. Enjoy!!!!!
