Welcome to the perfect drink. I am a firm believer if you are going to make a drink, make it the perfect drink. My love for a good cocktail started long ago when I bartended in college. I came to learn quickly there are two types of drinks, those made with very specific recipes and care, and the rest. As a longtime drink-maker it has always bothered me when a drink was made without precision (I went to school for engineering – go figure). Making that perfect drink is about three key aspects, the recipe, the perfect proportions, and quality ingredients. For you cooks and bakers out there you know when you don’t follow the recipe the results can and likely will be disastrous. Nothing is worse than ordering a drink at the bar at an insane price to only have it be too sweet, too strong or too weak, or worse yet made with crappy ingredients (aka the well liquor). Therefore, I have created theperfectdrink.org for me to share with family, friends and followers interested in making and sharing the perfect drink. The drinks shared are meant to be approachable, fantastic tasting, and able to be made easily at home. Feel free to share your thoughts, observations and twists on the drink recipes shared with your fellow perfect drink enthusiast.
Cheers
Bob
Thanks. Will be sending new one out soon.
What is the recipe for the homemade sweet and sour needed for the Pineapple Paradisio?
1. Make home-made sour mix
Ingredients
1. Sugar 1 cup
2. Water 1 cup
3. Lemon 1 cup
4. Lime ½ cup
In the sauce pan add equal parts of sugar and water and stir and dissolve while bringing to a boil. Once boiling remove from heat and let cool.
Squeeze the lime and lemons and set aside the appropriate amount of each juice.
Once simple syrup is cool mix together the simple syrup, lemon juice, and lime juice together and the place into plastic squeeze bottle for use. Put in refrigerator to store and before use.
