As we enter the summer season and temperatures start to rise you may find yourself looking to quench a tropical thirst, and when that happens, a great cocktail that is refreshing and easy to make is a painkiller. Having its origins from the British Virgin Islands and the Soggy Dollar Bar (patrons swam from their boat to the bar and paid with soggy dollars) this cocktail is loaded with the flavors of pineapple, orange and coconut. The original version, which I stay true to, uses Pusser’s British Navy Admiralty Rum. Easy to make, fun being served in a unique tiki glass and tasty to say the least (especially with the hint of nutmeg), this a great cocktail to make and serve at the pool, beach, deck, porch or Lanai when the temperature is warm and you want to feel tropical. Enjoy!!!
